PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Elderly Caregiver Professional Training Program is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to provide safe, respectful, compassionate, and dignified care to elderly individuals.
With the growing demand for elderly care and support services, particularly in urban communities and healthcare settings, trained caregivers play an increasingly important role in supporting the physical, emotional, and daily living needs of older adults.
The program combines theory-based instruction, hands-on practical training, instructor-led demonstrations, and skills development to prepare participants for caregiving opportunities in hospitals, elderly care facilities, home care services, assisted living environments, and private caregiving settings.

Providing safe, respectful, and compassionate assistance with the everyday needs of elderly individuals.

Basic observation and monitoring of physical and mental health conditions, including vital signs and changes in health status.

Safe positioning, mobility assistance, transfer techniques, fall prevention, and basic rehabilitation support.
05 — NUTRITION & HYDRATION
Understanding dietary requirements, feeding assistance, hydration, and awareness of malnutrition and dehydration.
06 — PAIN & COMFORT MANAGEMENT
Recognizing signs of discomfort and pain, providing appropriate comfort support, and reporting concerns when necessary.
07 — EMOTIONAL & SOCIAL SUPPORT
Providing companionship, emotional support, active listening, and respectful communication to promote elderly well-being.
08 — DEMENTIA & ALZHEIMER’S CARE
Developing awareness of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and learning appropriate communication and support strategies.
09 — EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Basic First Aid, CPR fundamentals, choking response, emergency procedures, and appropriate escalation of emergencies.

Practical Assessment
Demonstration of essential elderly caregiving skills through supervised hands-on assessment.
Professional Practice
Evaluation of communication, safety, ethics, dignity, empathy, and professional caregiving practices.
CERTIFICATION
Successful participants receive NSDA-approved certification upon meeting the applicable training and assessment requirements.
The program also provides participants with certification documentation in accordance with the institute’s applicable certification requirements.
